Conquests

Conquests is a turn-based 4X Civilization-like 3D strategy game. You can discover new technologies from the stone age to the space age, explore the world, and wage war on your opponents. It supports both Direct3D and OpenGL graphics, and can run in both 2D and 3D modes.

Release Notes: New game rules have been added, including "rebellions" and "Great Projects". Game winning conditions have been added. Improvements have been made to the user interface.

Release Notes: A new gameplay concept was added, elements which have to be mined to build units and improvements. Bugs with ATI graphics were fixed. The Linux version now supports installation, and Ubuntu binaries are available. Improvements were made to the AI. An animated water effect was added. Performance was improved on Windows.

Release Notes: Various crashes were fixed. Improvements were made to the AI. The ability to play on custom maps was added. Improvements were made to the "world map" view. Various other minor improvements were made.

Release Notes: New music, sound effects, and graphics were added. New civilizations (Russians and Japanese) were added. In-game help is now available, along with HTML reference. The user interface and input model was improved. Units, improvements, and bonus resources are now initialized via Lua scripts. A linking problem with the makefile on some Linux distributions was fixed. Various bugs were fixed.
